Monterey Car Week 2016 | Legends of The Autobahn | Werks Reunion

Here are some images I made at Legends of the Autobahn and Werks Reunion during the 2016 Monterey Car Week

The Werks Reunion at Monterey Car Week featured a wide variety of Porsche’s from rare classics to current models.

The Reunion took place during the world famous Monterey Car Week at Rancho Cañada Golf Club. Porsche owners and enthusiasts from around the world gathered to see the cars and participate in the event.

“2016 is the 40th anniversary of the 924, the front-engined, water-cooled Porsche that started a revolution and continued Porsche’s tradition of offering an entry-level car. It spawned the highly successful 944 and other, more powerful model variants, which performed as well as any 911. All front-engined, water-cooled Porsches, including the V8-powered 928, will be celebrated as featured models.” –Werks Reunion

I also had the chance to check out the Legends of the Autobahn event at the Nicklaus Club-Monterey. Legends Of The Autobahn is an all German car event.Featuring BMW’s, Mercedes, Audi’s and more. This event featured historical classics as well as modern concepts.

“The 2016 edition of the show is particularly special as Legends kicks off the 100th anniversary celebration for BMW in Monterey and will be the first of three events that compose the Celebrate BMW festival hosted by the BMW CCA. ” –Legends of the Autobahn

Here’s some information from the Monterey Car Week website:

“This years featured marquee is BMW.   The Monterey Bay peninsula offers the perfect back drop for this fantastic motoring event.  Cars will be displayed across the most beautiful golf courses in the world.  Witness the excitement of the auctions as automobiles get sold at record prices.  Racing is also a huge part of the excitement during Car Week; seeing vintage race cars speed through the cork screw at Laguna Seca Raceway is very thrilling. We hope you can join us for this world renowned automotive event.”
